AT Labs is a comprehensive penetration testing environment intended for acquiring practical skills in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in a secure setting. It offers an online lab platform that caters to both novice learners venturing into the field of penetration testing and experienced experts aiming to hone their skills further. These virtual labs comprise of real-life scenarios encompassing systems and applications typically found within corporate networks. Various vulnerable instances of both Windows and Linux operating systems, web applications, webservers, and more are available in the virtual environment. Each system is uniquely configured to contribute to a specific learning experience that revolves around one or more attack vectors.

The approach taken in the penetration testing labs is known as the black box method.  This approach involves minimal information being provided about the hosts to simulate a real penetration test. All students need to get started is their favorite web browser.  There’s no need to install additional software or to configure VPN.

With each lab, covers the penetration testing process, from gathering information to identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities. Through enumerating the lab machines, you will obtain the necessary knowledge to identify vulnerabilities and exploit them. The lab will provide insight on how to enumerate and exploit protocols, such as FTP, SNMP, and SMB, in addition to vulnerable web applications susceptible to Remote Code Execution, SQL injection, Local File Inclusion, Remote File Inclusion, and other vulnerabilities. Upon successfully gaining initial access to a target through a command line shell, you will have the opportunity to practice privilege escalation techniques and progress from a non-privileged user shell to an administrator shell.
